Black History Month Washington DC Trip

In celebration of Black History Month, we at The Sage Colleges are taking a small number of students to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC.

The purpose of the trip is to provide students a critical and engaging experience of the history of Black people in the United States — particularly as this experience is shaped by slavery, racial violence, and racial injustice. In addition to the museum, we will visit the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, meet with Dr. Menna Demessie, Vice President of Research and Policy Analysis at the Black Congressional Caucus Foundation (CBCF), and explore Washington DC’s Black past and present.

The dates for the trip are February 28 – March 1. The cost for the trip is $35.00 per student. While this fee covers shared rooming and transportation for the trip, meals and other associated costs must be covered by the student.
